The Elite/Development Ski Jumping teams are competing in U.S. Junior Nationals in Anchorage, Alaska at the end of February. Tate Frantz (Lake Placid), Caroline Harrison (Lyme NH), Bryce Kloc (Clifton Park, NY), Jack Lawrence (Lake Placid, NY) and Matt White (Lake Placid) are joining 10 other athletes from the Eastern division to compete. Matt White will be looking to repeat a top podium performance from last winter, while the rest of the NYSEF contingent is getting their feet wet in their first Junior Nationals.

In order to get to Junior Nationals, NYSEF athletes competed in the final qualifier in Salisbury, CT on the 10TH of February. Tate, Matt, and Caroline each took 1st in the US Cup and Eastern Championship events in their respective age groups, while Bryce Kloc took back to back 3rd places for the U16 boys. In the boys U10 division, NYSEF athletes swept the podium. Congrats to Max Fey, Charlie Wilson and Charlie Fox.

  • Kai Mckinnon placed first in the ladies 20 and 30 meter jumps.
  • Jack Kroll and Trey Frantz stood tall on the podium for the 20 meter jumps.

The Elite Jumpers were in action the following weekend in Brattleboro, VT for another US Cup competition on their K88. Tate, Matt, and Bryce had strong showings competing against the best juniors in the country.

Earlier this month, the Elite and Youth Jumpers participated in the Empire State Winter Games. The Games brought a large field of regional athletes to compete in Lake Placid.
